Thailand’s Newest Museum Installs One Systems Speakers
Nashville, Tennessee, January, 2009 –The Dragon Descendants Museum in Suphanburi,
Thailand has recently selected One Systems Direct Weather loudspeakers for a new
installation. Dragon Descendants is noteworthy for showing the cultural relationship between
Thailand and China in this historically rich area. The museum installed four 112IM direct
weather loudspeakers and four 212CIM direct weather loudspeakers.
Dragon Descendants Museum was the brainchild of Banharn Silpa-archa, who conceived the project when he was the Prime Minister of Thailand in 1996. He wanted to commemorate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and Thailand. The museum took ten years to plan and build, and finally opened on December 24, 2008. The museum features multimedia guided tours, and the One Systems speakers were installed in outdoor areas where their superior intelligibility, high output and weatherproof design were the perfect fit.
“The installation at the Dragon Descendants Museum in Thailand shows our continued efforts to expand our global reach,” says Doug MacCallum, One Systems president. “We continue to work toward our objective of becoming the world leader in direct weather speaker systems.”
