One Systems Speakers Drive School’s Theater Ambitions
Nashville, Tennessee, October, 2008 – Yuan Ching Secondary School, founded in Singapore in 1978 as a Government run, co-ed, school with Chinese and English students, recently chose One Systems all weather speakers for installation in the courtyard of the school’s new facility. The installation includes two 112 IM 12” 800w two-way Injection Molded direct weather speakers for daily assembly use and another separate system with two 115UM 15” two-way direct weather boxes for musical performances. Additional 118 Sub direct weather subwoofers are available when required.
The school is known for its strong arts education program, and various clubs and groups hold regular programs and outdoor performances in the school courtyard. In thirty years at the old facility, the school went through a number of weather resistant sound systems, never being completely satisfied with either the sound quality or the ability of the speakers to withstand the elements. The One Systems installation chosen for the new school was presented by Colin Quek, Director of Technical Sales Asia at TREKTECH.
“I am happy that schools are beginning to see the value of investing in proper sound for outdoor venues,” says Quek. “One Systems designs all its products with equal emphasis on sound quality and weatherproofing. In fact, the sound reproduction is of such a high-quality that One Systems speakers are used in many indoor venues as well. I always say that the weather proof aspect is a bonus.”
